Frequently Asked Questions

We Have the Answers
  • Q:How much time do I have to decide what to do?

A:In most cases you are given just 30 days from the time you receive a traffic citation to tell the court how you wish to proceed with your ticket. If you take longer, late fees may apply and your license may get suspended.

  • Q:How does the process work?

A:As your attorney, the Ticket & License Center will handle everything! We will enter a plea of not guilty on your behalf, attend all court dates, and write you a letter with the result.

  • Q:Why not just pay the fine?

A:If you choose not to contest the ticket and pay the fine, you are automatically pleading guilty. You will be assessed points if the ticket is a moving violation, leading to higher insurance rates. Even if the ticket is a non-moving violation, a conviction will be recorded on your driving record and you will lose your “Safe Driver” status, which is an important endorsement that should be protected. This may also cause your insurance rates to increase.

  • Q:Why not just attend traffic school?

A:If you elect to go to traffic school, you will still have to pay the face amount of the ticket. In addition, you will have to pay a traffic school fee and spend either four or eight hours in a class or enroll in an online program. The ticket will still appear on your record, and there are limits to the number of times you can elect the traffic school option.

  • Q:Why not fight the ticket in court myself?

A:You may have to attend court on at least two occasions, most likely spending hours each time waiting for your case to be heard. And unless you’re an experienced traffic ticket lawyer, you will be hard pressed to mount the best defense to win your case.

  • Q:Will I receive points on my driving record?

A:No one can guarantee that you will not receive points under any circumstances. However, we are so sure that you won’t receive points on a citation that we will refund our attorney’s fees in full if you do. Certain conditions apply – please call us to discuss.

  • Q:Do I have to come to your office?

A:Absolutely not! You can hire us over the phone or in person.

  • Q:How much do you charge?

A:In most cases you are given just 30 days from the time you receive a traffic citation to tell the court how you wish to proceed with your ticket. If you take longer, late fees may apply and your license may get suspended. As your attorney, the Ticket & License Center will handle everything! We will enter a plea of not guilty on your behalf, attend all court dates, and write you a letter with the result. Our fee for a traffic Citation in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach County starts at $30. We can also handle citations from outside the tri-county area. Our fees vary depending on the county where the citation was received.

  • Q:Will there be any additional costs other than your fee?

A:Our goal is to get your ticket dismissed. If this happens, there is nothing further you need to pay or do. If we cannot get the ticket dismissed, there will be a state-mandated court fee assessed. We do not keep the court fee nor do we make a commission from the court fee. We fully understand you do not want to incur this cost. However, our primary concern is helping you avoid the points and the traffic school.

  • Q:How long will this take?

A:The process generally takes anywhere from one to four months. Your license will not be suspended for your ticket while the case is pending with the court.

  • Q:Can you still help even if my license is suspended?

A:Yes! We can reinstate your license and have you driving again, generally within 24 hours.
